The SHB Story

 The SHB story begins almost 35 years ago with the establishment of a professional accounting firm in Warrnambool.

Today, we have evolved into a leading business and wealth advisory service. But we’ve never lost our focus on providing great value to our clients, nor have we lost our passion for the regional community that has supported us all these years.

Along the way, we’ve had a number of talented professionals join our firm.

• 1990 Accountant Jim Sawyer joined the firm as partner in July.

• 1993 We welcomed Accountant Jeff Hill to the firm – Jeff went on to become a partner in July 2000.

• 1996 Accountant Leigh Johnson arrived at SHB. By July 2010, he was also a partner.

• 1997 The firm welcomed Accountant Barry Brooks in May. Barry became a partner in July 2001.

• 2002 Financial Planner Simon Dawson arrived at our firm, bringing with him a new focus on personal and business advice. He was a partner by the following year.

• 2002 Accountant Brendan Drummond joined us. He was established as a partner in July 2010.

• 2008 Financial Planner Mark Bowles joined the SHB partnership in August.

In 2016, SHB Business and Wealth Advisers has transitioned to a bold new era, merging with local firms OzPlan Financial Services and Michael Lynch Accounting.

This development coincides with a move to a larger, more central office at 78 Henna Street, Warrnambool.
